The present Jamaican Firm of BDO International was formed in January 2001 and has branch offices located in Mandeville, Montego Bay and Ocho Rios, in addition to its main office, which is located at 26 Beechwood Avenue, Kingston. It has been providing clients with personalised service over the past thirty-seven (37) years through previous affiliations.

BDO has a staff complement of over 120 professionals and provides the full range of professional services, which include assurance, accounting, taxation, company secretarial, accounting support services and various business advisory and corporate finance services to our clients.

BDO services an extensive range of clients which encompasses organisations and enterprises including: micro-entrepreneurial ventures, expansive trading conglomerates, major manufacturing companies, quoted service industry companies, institutional bodies, statutory bodies, Government departments and international donor agencies. Our clients include the public sector in the areas of taxation administration reform, issuance of broadcasting licences and private businesses in all the established industries such as: financial services, tourism, agriculture, manufacturing, distribution and retail, as well as in the emerging commercial areas.

In conjunction with a previous affiliate, Ernst & Young International, we have worked with various offices in assisting clients within the financial and bauxite sectors, in assessing their current environment with a view to defining the future direction of these entities. We have also provided internal audit services to companies in the manufacturing sector and operational assistance in the financial sector.

BDO conforms to the highest standards of professionalism in the organisation, supervision and management of staff and assignments. This is accomplished and maintained by means of regular internal and external training sessions and seminars with the assistance of international training personnel and employing methodologies which are developed for the worldwide practice and which are continuously being improved and upgraded.

Our business advisory division has successfully undertaken numerous assignments involving the design and implementation of accounting and management information systems for clients of varying sizes in a variety of industries. These assignments include the formulation and establishment of completely new systems for newly formed entities, as well as the redesign and implementation of improved systems. During many of these assignments we act as facilitators to ensure the successful implementation and provide continued follow-up and technical support.
